We are all leaving for Panama today. Marina flies via Mexico while Mila and me pass through Los Angeles. We all arrive on Friday. I will stay with Mila in Panama until March while Marina comes back to Vancouver after just three weeks.

Looking for a Hotel in Azua, Domican Republic at the undogly hour of 8am I noticed a sign for rooms. Knocked on the door and waited. Eventually this gentleman appeared and told me his life story on the step. To cut a long story short, there were, unfortunately, no rooms available at the moment. His mother had died 8 months ago and since then he hasn’t opened the hotel. His pink suit was like a post-mourning outfit that i guess he wore everyday
